Our Senses Issue is the antidote to even the most jaded palate, as we’ve searched high and low to find contributors with the power to make us appreciate the world anew. We’ve got exclusive discussions with multi-sensory experts including Omer Arbel of Bocci lighting, scent archivist Sissel Tolaas, colour expert Pedro da Costa Felgueiras, Michelin-starred chef Nuno Mendes, product designer Russell Pinch and fragrance maker Lyn Harris.
Richard Benson braves storms and high seas to explore the people and the landscape that has made the island of Islay home to a growing band of the most prolific and revered whisky producers in the world. We’ve taken a trip to Daylesford Organic Farm in the Cotswolds, to James Cropper paper manufacturers in Yorkshire and to the fragrant fields of Grasse with Hermès to examine how the unique properties of the land can inform our appreciation of the senses.
