Our eleventh Listen Weekly playlist is a Family affair…
Having previously explored playlist themes such as Chairs, Gathering and Scent, this week we found ourselves digging through the crates to bring together our favourite ‘Family’ records. And whilst it was a tough call not to include Sister Sledge’s wedding party anthem ‘We Are Family’, we hope we’ve done the theme justice!
Our playlist includes some all-time favourites from the likes of Paul Simon, Pulp and Labi Siffre, paired alongside lesser-known gems from Warfield Spillers and The Fire. Also, is there a song that better fits the subject than Talking Heads ‘Creatures Of Love’? We think not.
